  7. The application illustrates many of the characteristics of vibrating systems by computing and displaying the motion of a simple coupled oscillator system called a loaded string.  It consists of a number of identical masses connected by elastic strings.  The ends of the string remain fixed.  Each mass (ball) is free to move in a vertical direction.

  10. The application is used in a class on Classical Dynamic to illustrate the concepts developed in lecture that have to do with coupled oscillations.
